Situated in the heart of Adelaide—widely revered as one of the world’s safest, green and most liveable cities—the Adelaide Convention Centre is the destination’s premier business event venue. Each year, the Adelaide Convention Centre plays host to hundreds of local, national and international conferences and events, delivering valuable economic benefit to the State of South Australia.            

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a dynamic, passionate and driven team to represent South Australia in the business events sector. With a focus on securing national conference and exhibition business to the Adelaide Convention Centre, this role will suit an agile and strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to form new relationships and generate business event opportunities.

The role requires a proven ability to:

  • Develop meaningful relationships
  • Generate new opportunities
  • Influence decision making
  • Drive sales conversion

Along with a strong understanding of:

  • The national association sector and;
  • South Australia’s economic industry sectors and how these create opportunities for the business events industry.

The role includes interstate travel. As such candidates should be prepared to comply with any mandated requirements (such as proof of vaccination) from government or airlines to enable travel.
