Owned and operated by Adelaide Venue Management (AVM), the world-class Adelaide Convention Centre offers a recently renovated, state-of-the-art kitchen—considered one of the best equipped in the country—along with the opportunity to produce innovative cuisine for some the largest events in South Australia.

 

The Role

A rare opportunity has become available for a full time Chef de Partie to join the hot section of our kitchen brigade at the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC).

 

This role is based predominantly within the Adelaide Convention Centre’s main kitchen, with a mix of shifts across a 7-day roster to provide you the freedom to produce restaurant-quality food at the highest level, while still enjoying a normal working week.

 

Reporting to the section leader, this role will suit a dynamic, enthusiastic career-chef who specialises in hot dishes and butcher preparation. The successful candidate will thrive in a quality-driven environment and be motivated to continually improve their culinary skills and contribute fresh restaurant quality ideas.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Relevant trade qualifications
  • Significant proven experience within a large scale, multi-faceted kitchen
  • Experience in pressure cooking, slow cooking, butchery, and fish filleting
  • To be thoroughly versed in HACCP and Food Safety Protocols, with a demonstrated adherence to the practical implementation of such standards
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet stringent timelines
