Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is South Australia’s leading provider of venue management services. It is responsible for operating three of Adelaide’s most iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and Coopers Stadium, in addition to functions and events at The Drive.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a driven, self-motivated, professional Business Development Coordinator to join our local Functions & Business Events team.  This full-time role would suit an administration superstar looking for new challenges and career progression.

The Role

As the Business Development Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of driving business growth, handling client enquiries, preparing event quotations and contracts, and providing crucial administrative support to the Business Development Manager (BDM). This is a rewarding opportunity for a highly motivated and organized individual to contribute to the success of AVM’s Functions & Business Events team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process client enquiries, providing accurate event quotations and contracts to secure bookings.
  • Support the Business Development Manager (BDM) with proposals and contracts.
  • Assist in achieving revenue targets by working with the sales team and researching new clients.
  • Conduct client meetings and site tours to discuss event needs.
  • Maintain accurate client and business records in CRM and EBMS.
  • Prepare sales reports and assist in marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure a conflict-free event calendar and follow up with client’s post-event for satisfaction.
  • Work with Event Planning teams to ensure smooth event handovers.

Skills you will bring to the role:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills to engage with clients and internal teams effectively.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities, meet targets, and enhance revenue.
  • Accurate record-keeping and ensuring smooth event coordination.
  • Efficient time management and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting client relationships.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Momentus/EBMS, and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to address client needs and resolve issues effectively to ensure satisfaction.
