Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is South Australia’s leading provider of venue management services. It is responsible for operating three of Adelaide’s most iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and Coopers Stadium, in addition to functions and events at The Drive.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic HR professional to join our team as a Talent Coordinator. In this role, you will work closely with the People Manager and collaborate with our high-performing People Team. We’re looking for a proactive and engaging individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of key tasks while making a real impact on our people strategy.

The Role

As the Talent Coordinator, you will take on a variety of People functions, coordinating recruitment efforts, providing support across various HR systems, and contributing to key people programs. You’ll be responsible for managing recruitment processes and delivering exceptional support to all AVM team members. With a blend of administrative and strategic duties, this role offers autonomy and the opportunity to work closely with experienced team members to support AVM's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Coordination: Oversee the recruitment lifecycle, including job advertising, entry-level selection processes, and venue inductions. Manage the AVM careers site and ensure systems are up to date with accurate job listings and candidate information.
  • HR Advisory & Support: Provide guidance and support to AVM team members under the supervision of senior team members. Serve as a point of contact for People queries and ensure team members are supported throughout their journey at AVM.
  • HRIS Administration: Ensure accurate data is maintained within various Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), including the Learning Management System (LMS) and Rostering/Time & Attendance systems. Human Force experience highly regarded.
  • People Programs: Support and manage AVM's Work Experience, Industry Placement, CSR, and Diversity & Inclusion programs in collaboration with the People Manager. Help create opportunities for meaningful team member engagement and development.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing development of efficient HR processes, ensuring best practices are followed and providing recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Assist in generating reports from HR systems to monitor performance, track KPIs, and inform decision-making on talent-related matters.

Skills you will bring to the role:

  • This position will be the next logical step in your career, having already competently performed a range of activities similar to those listed above, at or immediately beyond entry-level.
  • You will have plenty of initiative, a proactive ‘can do’ attitude and be flexible, innovative and solutions-focused in your approach to your work.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, unwavering attention to detail and demonstrated ability to set goals and achieve them.
  • An ability to confidently communicate and professionally interact with people from a diverse range of cultural, social and educational backgrounds – particularly important to confidently deliver face to face induction sessions to large numbers of new team members.
  • A broad exposure to maintaining accurate online and in-house HRIS data.
  • You’ve gained initial experience in People & Culture roles or studies and are now ready to dive deeper and expand your knowledge
