Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is South Australia’s leading provider of venue management services. It is responsible for operating three of Adelaide’s most iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC); Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC); and Coopers Stadium (CS); in addition to functions and events at The Drive.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing, high-impact national sales team where your results truly matter. We’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our local team and play a key role in growing new business and strengthening client relationships. This is a 12-month contract (maternity leave cover).

What you’ll actually do

This role is focused on driving new business growth by sourcing and converting opportunities, responding to enquiries and quotation requests, preparing persuasive proposals, and securing confirmed bookings. You will build and nurture strong client relationships, work closely with internal stakeholders, and ensure every opportunity is qualified, profitable and delivered with the client at the centre.

What you’ll bring

You’re a confident communicator with a hunter mindset, strong attention to detail and a natural ability to connect with people. You will be highly motivated, proactive and solutions-focused, with a proven track record of achieving maximum sales outcomes. A minimum of three years’ experience in business events or venue sales is essential, along with flexibility to work outside standard hours when business demands require.
