Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is South Australia’s leading provider of venue management services. It is responsible for operating three of Adelaide’s most iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC); Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC); and Coopers Stadium (CS); in addition to functions and events at The Drive.
We’re currently seeking an experienced Chef to join our passionate Home Ground Cafe kitchen team on a casual basis.
Located in the heart of the Adelaide Convention Centre’s stunning East Building, Home Ground Cafe is a vibrant, modern dining destination overlooking the River Torrens. With relaxed indoor and outdoor spaces and a full-service bar, Home Ground Cafe delivers quality food in a fast-moving, dynamic environment that attracts a diverse mix of locals, visitors, and event guests.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with the Manager and Head Chef to deliver consistently high-quality food in a fast-paced, à la carte environment. You’ll confidently manage busy service periods while maintaining strong food safety standards and supporting junior team members through guidance and mentoring.
You’ll bring a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (trade qualification highly regarded), proven experience in high-volume kitchens, and a practical understanding of HACCP. Flexibility is key, you’ll be comfortable working across days, nights, and weekends, with the willingness to occasionally support operations in the Adelaide Convention Centre’s main kitchen.
