We’re looking for a part-time External Patron Security Officer to join our overnight team. This role is all about presence, awareness and responsibility. You’ll be the person making sure our external areas, buildings and car parks stay safe, secure and welcoming.
You’ll patrol the outside of the venue and contracted common areas. You’ll make sure everything is locked down and operating as it should be. You’ll support crowd control and ensure compliance with the Liquor Licensing Act, helping maintain safe and responsible behaviour at all times.
When something happens, you act. You respond to incidents. You step into Chief Warden or Senior First Aid responsibilities when required. You stay calm. You take control. You document everything clearly and accurately.
You’re not just security. You’re also part of the visitor experience. You’ll greet genuine visitors professionally, give directions when needed and represent the venue with confidence and respect.
To succeed in this role, you’ve worked in security before, ideally in patrols or crowd control. You hold a Certificate II in Security Operations or equivalent. You have a current Security Licence with Approved Crowd Controller endorsement. You have a First Aid Certificate and a Chief Warden Certificate, or you’re willing to obtain them. You also hold a valid unrestricted driver’s licence.
You’re physically capable of regular patrols and static guarding. You can respond quickly in an emergency. You communicate clearly. You manage your time well. You show up on time and take accountability for your work.
