About the Role

We’re looking for reliable and professional Part-time Precinct and Building Security Officers to join our team, delivering safety and security across both internal building operations and external precinct areas.

You’ll play a key role in protecting people, assets, and facilities while also creating a welcoming and customer-friendly environment for visitors, clients, and the public.

Working Structure

  • 24/7 rotating roster (including nights and weekends)
  • Hybrid role: mix of indoor building security + outdoor precinct patrols
  • Flexible shifts supporting a dynamic events environment

What You’ll Do

  • Patrol buildings, car parks, and surrounding precinct areas
  • Monitor safety, respond to incidents, and manage emergencies
  • Ensure compliance with regulations (including liquor licensing & safety laws)
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and clients
  • Conduct security checks (bags, access control, CCTV monitoring)
  • Assist with crowd control and manage anti-social behaviour
  • Support operations like loading docks, traffic management, and cash escorts
  • Record incidents, maintain reports, and use security systems

What We’re Looking For

  • Security experience (patrolling or similar roles preferred)
  • Calm, professional approach in high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Flexible and reliable for a 24/7 roster
  • Team-oriented with a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Requirements

  • Certificate II in Security Operations (minimum)
  • Current Security Licence with Crowd Controller
