About the Role
We’re looking for reliable and professional Part-time Precinct and Building Security Officers to join our team, delivering safety and security across both internal building operations and external precinct areas.
You’ll play a key role in protecting people, assets, and facilities while also creating a welcoming and customer-friendly environment for visitors, clients, and the public.
Working Structure
- 24/7 rotating roster (including nights and weekends)
- Hybrid role: mix of indoor building security + outdoor precinct patrols
- Flexible shifts supporting a dynamic events environment
What You’ll Do
- Patrol buildings, car parks, and surrounding precinct areas
- Monitor safety, respond to incidents, and manage emergencies
- Ensure compliance with regulations (including liquor licensing & safety laws)
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and clients
- Conduct security checks (bags, access control, CCTV monitoring)
- Assist with crowd control and manage anti-social behaviour
- Support operations like loading docks, traffic management, and cash escorts
- Record incidents, maintain reports, and use security systems
What We’re Looking For
- Security experience (patrolling or similar roles preferred)
- Calm, professional approach in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Flexible and reliable for a 24/7 roster
- Team-oriented with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Requirements
- Certificate II in Security Operations (minimum)
- Current Security Licence with Crowd Controller
