Working in our newly refurbished, state-of-the-art kitchen, you will play a key role in producing restaurant-quality cuisine on a large scale while contributing to some of South Australia's most prestigious events.
About the Role
Reporting to the Sous Chef – Hot Section, you will lead the preparation and production of high-quality food within our Main Kitchen, supporting the delivery of innovative menus and exceptional dining experiences. You will work closely with a talented culinary team, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and food safety.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute ideas, explore emerging food trends, and help shape the future of Adelaide Convention Centre's industry-leading food philosophy.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Extensive experience in a high-volume catering, banqueting, or commercial kitchen environment
- Strong technical cooking skills and a genuine passion for food
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and consistently deliver to strict timelines
- Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A proactive, innovative mindset and willingness to contribute new ideas
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities
- Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
