A rare opportunity has become available for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join the talented Hot Section kitchen team at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Chef de Parties – Hot Section, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional food experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for conferences, banquets and events.
  • Assisting with menu preparation, service and daily kitchen operations.
  • Contributing ideas to menu development and continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining exceptional food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
  • Supporting and mentoring apprentice and junior chefs.
  • Working collaboratively to ensure efficient and seamless kitchen operations.
  • Helping deliver exceptional dining experiences for every guest.

About You

You'll be an enthusiastic chef who enjoys working in a busy kitchen and takes pride in producing quality food.

You'll bring:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) and relevant post trade experience is essential.
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen or hospitality environment.
  • A passion for quality food and exceptional presentation.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure in a high-volume environment.
  • A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
  • A willingness to learn, develop and continuously improve.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
