Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Stewarding Team Leader to join our team in a casual position. Working at the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), you'll oversee the day-to-day Kitchen Stewarding operations, ensuring the smooth running of kitchen activities from set-up to pack-down across a range of events.

About the Role:

As a Stewarding Team Leader, you will:

  • Supervise the cleaning, maintenance, and organisation of all kitchen and stewarding areas.
  • Lead and mentor a team of stewarding staff to ensure high standards of hygiene and efficiency.
  • Oversee the cleaning and sanitisation of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure the smooth flow of service ware during functions and events.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, including chemical supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System and WHS policies.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a proactive leader with:

  • Previous supervisory experience in a large-scale kitchen or stewarding environment, mining or healthcare kitchen experience highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP/ISO 22000 preferred).
  • Excellent team leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Some computer proficiency for stock management and reporting.
  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
