Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is looking for an experienced Senior Audio-Visual Specialist to join our Technology Operations team.
Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is South Australia’s leading provider of venue management services. It is responsible for operating three of Adelaide’s most iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC), and Coopers Stadium (CS), in addition to functions and events at The Drive (TD).
As South Australia’s home of business events, Adelaide Convention Centre is where global conferences, major exhibitions, gala banquets and other milestone celebrations come to life. Recognised as one of the world’s most versatile and innovative meetings and events venues, the Centre achieved triple honours at the prestigious 2025 Australian Business Event Awards, judged Australia’s Best Convention & Exhibition Centre, Venue Team of the Year and Overall Best Team in the industry.
In this role, you’ll be hands-on delivering high-quality AV experiences across our venues, while providing technical leadership and support to our Technology team.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead AV teams across Audio, Lighting, Video and/or Rigging
- Provide hands-on technical support during events
- Troubleshoot complex AV setups and equipment
- Coordinate crews to deliver safe, smooth and successful events
- Mentor and support other technicians
- Work closely with planners, clients, suppliers and internal teams
- Complete equipment checks, maintenance and fault reporting
- Help improve how we plan and deliver events
- Support training and development of team members
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring:
- Strong experience in AV, entertainment or a related technical environment
- Advanced technical skills in one or more AV disciplines
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A proactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach
- The ability to work independently and under pressure
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours, including weekends
Qualifications & licences
- Diploma in Technical Services or 7 years’ experience in your specialist field
- Current Forklift Licence, or willingness to obtain one
- Current EWP Licence, or willingness to obtain one
